Meek’s Top 20
I think it’s hard to rate people these days, cause no one is really outstanding.
But your garbage lists needs to be thrown out the window.
1. Sebek – Perfect flame as he was once called (changed name for god knows that reason ;] ) is one of the best players in this game in many people’s opinion.
He is one of the most well rounded sparkers these days. He brings CaDF strong fragging and heavy defense. He has some wicked spreads to chop his opponents down. He dodges and splits lasers like cake. He sets up and follows up rapes a lot better than most top players. So in my opinion, he is the best active sparker.
2. Ominous – A well established top player who stands out a bit more in my eyes. He dodges and shoots excellent, and tops his game off with bouncies that rock your world.
Well, we all know that half of them are mine. Copycat!
3. Tech-Man – Hello Tech! You are the most underrated sparker, and you have been for quite some time. Last SPL I was really surprised by you. I knew that you were good, but not AS good as you displayed. INCREDIBLE spreads in tight situations with NASTY dodging. He lures you into a false sense of security, then bam, you are trapped and slaughtered. Arguably the 2nd best sparker these days.
4. Nano – I rank Nano as the 4th best cause of all his experience + the lag that he brings to the table. The lag doesn’t have anything to with his skills, but it adds so much to his whole way of sparking.
He is one of the best in this game and he has been for a long time. He never disappoints, and if rumors are true we are going to see a fairly active Nano with some rust shaken off.
5. ElAsessino – It’s important to know why I rate ElA so ‘high’ on this list. I personally don’t think he’s an outstanding player anymore. But if he joined a clan with a solid 4, I’m fairly certain that he would beat the top competition in this game. If we ever will see him play at his full potential again, I’m unsure. He’s a really smart player and can pretty much play any game style he wants, even though he’s more passive playing with sYn.
6. Fordus – I recently played a game with Ford and he looked a bit rusty, but I have stopped taking 1on1 skill into the factor where I rate pilots. No doubt in my mind if he’s active and motivated enough he would climb these ranks. He brings so much to his team, sometimes it goes unnoticed but trust me he is still one of the top guns in this game. Teamwork deluxe plax!
7. Veritas – For those of you that don’t know, I have for a longer period of time rated Veritas high in ‘top lists’. He really started developing as a sparker last SPL and really stepped his game up. I was so impressed with him that he motivated me to become better. When he’s nasty active he shoots his spreads next to perfection. His dodging is really good as well. He stays away from the heavier spreaders in this game and rarely gets caught because of his range distance.
And no, his long range game isn’t the only thing he brings to the table. He’s great in all aspects of the game. I haven’t played with him much lately, but I know what he’s capable of.
See you in SPL!
8. Bone – Widely recognized as one of the best players in the game half a year back. Somehow that has seemed to change. I’m not sure if he stopped trying and just goofs around more or what..
All I know is that he isn’t the same player as before. But at least now (unlike before) he can fall back on his great tactical skills. He sets things up excellent and can play with synergy effect with 3 other good pilots. He is still highly ranked on my list cause of all he has learned since he first joined TBWA. I see him as an established top sparker, even though his dominant 1on1 has started to somewhat fade.
9. Zaharo – This bullied child with a automatic weapon really drastically stepped his game up once TM disbanded. He was already a solid player and could fill the spot in TM’s starting 4.
He is really conscious about what he wants to achieve on the battle field, and most of the time he’s one step ahead of all his opponents. With a much more developed sense of what’s really going on EVERYWHERE on the map, he is in my opinion a top 10 player, based on all that he knows and what he can execute.
10. Puffball – This guy had me dreaming nightmares of being solo flagged on in SPL. I don’t want to make any excuses, he’s totally awesome and I admire him as a player.
One of the most accurately explosive players in this game he is always HEAVILY dangerous even when he’s smoked on the brink of death.
See on the field once again, grr *grins*.
11. DzaanEEZ – For me, dzaan isn’t eez. He was quite frustrating to play against last SPL with his dodging and shooting abilities with the lag that he had.
Now that he lives in the States again I’m not entirely sure how good he will be. I have only played with him once or twice the last couple of months (that I know of).
If he can step up his dodging and the accuracy of his shooting even more with his new found ping, I’m sure he’s going to shut people down once again.
12. Parrotman – What to say, what to say.. He might not be the best 1on1 player but make no mistake when it comes to the Pman, he’s just as good as any of the people in this list.
I got taught a lesson or two when I played against him a bit more than a week ago. I thought he’d be mediocre and that I would be able to have my way with him.
Got proven wrong pretty fast as he trapped and raped me on several occasions. He always seems to make the right decisions, and that is something that I hope he will continue doing in SPL, if so, this season is going to be more than interesting. He is as well rounded as you can get.
He doesn’t really stand out, yet he’s an outstanding player. To quote every English person there is in every sentence they speak. YA KNOW WHA I MEAN?
13. Faur – I think it’s quite funny to see people try and get on Faur’s nerves. He has matured a lot since his days in SN and prior to that. If you didn’t know, or haven’t been schooled yet. He is one of the best players in this game when he’s active. He lacks a bit of the essential hardcore tactics, but his 1on1 is ridiculous when he’s active enough. When I was in TM I rated him around top 10 based on his 1on1 skills alone. “Pfft, when the hell was this?” you say? When he was dominating everyone on spark. This isn’t my biased opinion, this is something that I learned playing against him. I’m always impressed by him, and if he only knew his potential he would chop these top lists down with his combos.
14. Turbo – I remember when he first joined CaDF, I was happy about it because it would step up his game and bring forth a new top player in this game.
I was right! He is getting better and better with time, and it’s nice to see his development. We had a brief conversation when he just had joined and he was hoping he would be top ranked in the near future. And as far as I’m concerned, top 14 is top ranked. He has come a long way since he first joined, and I see him taking a good spot in CaDF’s lineup, whether it’s top 4, or a mix of their depth.
15. Purex – Kyle oh Kyle.. Old friend.. Your consistency has had its up and downs. But as of late it’s been moving up up up! Rex is a truly awesome fragger when he’s on his game.
Minor problems with his tactical errors in the past, but as he also played with TM, those gaps closed with time. He is a lot more well rounded these days, and to add with that, he’s not in someone’s shadow anymore. I see Rex coming out guns blazing this season beheading people. Either my prediction is totally wrong, or we have a fierce fragger to deal with everyone.
16. Terror – HAHA, MEEK THINKS TERROR IS BETTER THAN KOR, GAUR AND PHUSION! LmXXAAOO!! Funny thing is… You guys should see yourselves playing him. With your constant underrating and never changing opinions you always seem to look past him. Or wait, do you judge him by his Pub performances? Because I’m fairly certain you keep your mouths shut when he eats you up in private games. Terror has improved so damn much during the last couple of months. I laugh out loud at his insane raping abilities, and he is aware of so much in this game.
He can actually sit on spec and know everything that’s going on (beyond the obvious). He can call shots and understand whatever the consequences are. He is a legit top player and you will have your hands full trying to understand why you aren’t better than him when he beats you and your team.
17. K0rrupt – I’m not sure how active Dave is. But somehow I’m never truly impressed with him. Make no mistake, he can easily top this list if he’s active enough.
But lack of motivation and hard competition on spark these days just doesn’t let him shine. He’s still good, and as solid as any 4th in a TBWA top line, but he has lost his ’spark’ in this game.
18. Gaur – Many people think he’s the new top player that is going to prove everyone why he deserves to be in TBWA. As I said with K0r, I have never really been impressed with Gaur either. He has his lag, but makes mistakes with it. Maybe it’s because I lag a bit myself that I have never had any real trouble facing him, I don’t know. He is a solid tactician, and I don’t see any reason as to why he wouldn’t climb these ranks quickly now that he is being taught by some of the best in this game.
He abuses his lag well against most players. He can be really hard to get a hand on, since he dodges pretty well also. His shooting is good and overall id without a doubt he’s one of the best TRUE laggers in this game (not counting 105ms Swedes).
19. Phusi0n – I was glad to see that he finally left AoA for a better clan. He has improved a whole lot since then, and keeps on improving. I haven’t played with him that much, but whenever I have I’m always impressed. It’s going to be a hard season for him being in the shadow of all the other dead-eye fighters unless he’s given the opportunity to step up. You can do it!
20. Omega – The 2nd best sYn in my opinion. He keeps improving all the time, and is really getting his game on. I’m hoping Omega will have a spectacular season along with ElA, and that they will be able to pull off a couple of upsets. All depending on the rest of their clan newbie’s they call 3rd and 4th :]..
I could do a write-up about the honorable mentions. As I said before, it’s hard to rank these lists, and some of these players might be exchangeable for the people below.
This is just a pre-season ranking from my point of view, and I’m sure it will change with the season.
Honorable mentions: ElDiablo, Badguy, Scarface, Tempest, Croa, Axion, Houdini, JediKnite, Solo, Ruckus, Dream, Shrink
Good bye, med packing, health giving, smoke chaser, vulching, bum rushing newblets.

Great list. Good comment on people’s opinion’s failing to change- but I feel this list may still be guilty of that.
Nice list.
Usually when I read articles like these, I just read my clans description or my own description, but this time, I read everyones description. You did a good job describing everyone from past to present.
Although I may disagree with you on some of the rankings, I think you captured what Shrink and I attempted to do on the forums!
Good job!
Who is Zaharo? And why did you say he could fill a spot in TM’s starting four?
(did violent change their name again?)
…Reaper. Jesus Christ. For someone who is around Spark as much as you, you should know a bit more about the game. Zaharo = MBMA. And as far as TM goes, THEY FUCKING WON LAST SPL. MBMA was a part of that championship side.
just realized that the top5 people i named on forums are the same as meek’s top5. still disagree with meek’s order though, and i disagree a lot with this list after the top 5
also lol’d @ pudi’s post. but to be fair i didn’t know who zaharo was either. must have been a syn thing
Well, we cant all agree. And maybe I’m overrating your brother..
not a syn thing. i was in that clan 6 years ago. and to use the phrase “to be fair”, i hope you’re justifying your lol alone, and not something else.
i think the ’syn thing’ was a reference to mbna’s zaharo name?
it was, moron is just too retarded to realize it
